Cannot say this is the best camera but it’s well worth the money. Battery life is great with the solar panel. I don’t think it would work well without it. You can it apparently works for 45 days with no solar power . Movement is very robust. It has ai detection so it moves a lot if you set it up near your front door. The night vision is great. The spotlight is quite bright at night. Deters people from messing around
Straight off the bat I want to say that I already have a Eufy doorbell and home base, and I spent like an hour trying to connect this camera to the homebase with no luck, reading instructions and everything. Until I looked online and found in a forum that this camera is not compatible with my homebase version. I feel like this should be information that is available on the box itself and on the listing so that people can check compatibility before buying. It's crazy to me that simple compatibility information is lacking considering there are multiple home base versions. This feels almost deceitful hiding of information.Once I realized it was not compatible with my home base, I connected it with the wifi option. It was incredibly hard to connect and I spent almost the whole day trying to get it to connect and it was just not connecting. You have to use the app and scan some qr codes with the camera and it just wasn't scanning and we tried every lighting condition and position. Eventually after the 100th time it actually did work.Once connected it was smooth sailing. It was easy to put up at the corner of our house to track our driveway and front porch. It works okay but some things it does not detect. It catches our mailmen regularly, but one time someone came up and put some mysterious object on our front porch and we went through the app to check who brought it and it didn't catch anything. So I don't know if I would completely trust this device and I'm glad I have a doorbell camera as backup. There are settings in the app you have to play around with though to adjust the camera. For example we found that the recording duration was too short so we had to adjust it.The 360 pan is cool but it moves in a janky robotic way, and could creep out or scare people coming. The battery life is great thanks to the solar panel, we have had no issues with it even when it was overcast for a few weeks. However we live in a sunny place so solar panels work well for us.The video quality is good, even at night it is clear and easy to see. Value is also good, and I'm glad there is no hidden fees or subscriptions, and the app is free, so you can buy this with peace of mind.
These work as described, no issues yet, could even watch the house from Europe. They need a micro sd card.
Reasonable price and works great, but you need a mic SD card is you don't have cloud storage.
