Love it
I finally got around to installing this a few months later. The insulation and set up wasn’t too bad. I was replacing an existing standard wired door doorbell. The most confusing part is there’s several apps out there for this company, and the one mentioned in the instruction booklet has a different name than the one they are using now. The one that worked for my door doorbell, cam and homebase was just called “Eufy” and had a blue “e” icon.So far the camera quality for both the doorbell and packages are very good. It integrates well with their homebase. The app is easy to use.Overall, I would recommend it.
Install was easy, much easier than I thought. I swapped to a Broan 16V 30VA transformer and GenAI’d the wiring steps. Works great with my original mechanical chime - chime is strong and normal. Battery stays at 99-100% even with 30+ recorded events per day from renovations and the 4s prerecording toggled on. App notifications are instant. The instructions for hardwiring (in order to turn on prerecording) said to bypass the chime but I didn’t have to do that. At first the chime didn’t ring because you have to select “mechanical chime” in the app settings. Once that was turned on, the chime worked.I’m also very happy this doesn’t need a subscription. Many dollars saved. Now I’m considering the door lock to go with this since I can unlock my door in the Eufy app if someone rings the bell.
Good camera but super disappointed in the battery life. Barely lasts 2.5 weeks
Amazing! RING who!
