I bought off-brands of this brush for my robots and while they worked, I had to replace them more often. The connector on the off-brand ends is made of plastic and often got hung up with dog hair and melted. Once melted they do not turn and need replacement. I have long hair dogs. I have been replacing the old ones, about once a week. This one, while it cost a bit more at the start, ends up paying for itself by not having to be replaced every week. The reason is that the connector on this unit has a metal center that does not melt. In addition, it cleans better and does not get hung up with hair.
